August-September

Well those months flew by....Here is a recap of all that happened...during that time. I have been busy with Keith's campaign...that I barely have time to get on facebook...let alone get on here anymore. I try to update more regular once the election is over....we are less than 2 weeks now!!

August:

Kids started school on August 12th

Keith and I decided to give our marriage a try...considering we never really tried since I left. We had a tropical Storm come thru during Labor Day weekend....and Keith, I and the kids spent the whole 3 day weekend together.....(and didnt kill one another..LOL)Keith turned 40 on Sept 10th...but I had to work...so he had strawberry shortcake with his famiy.

Keith's election has been going strong since August...but this month has been full of meet and greets and politicing to get his name out.

Starting Over

Well its came to that time where Keith and I have decided that we are "officially" over. I know we have been apart for over a year...but we never really talked about actually not being a family again someday. He had asked us to try...and I thought we were going to....and go to counsceling....but he decided that he would rather move on. I am not going to lie...it was a shock! I even cried! But the reality to the situation is that we have so much anger between us that we cant get past it. We didnt get to try counsceling....but I am not sure that would have worked. I left because I was unhappy. I knew then that we could possible never be together again. I just forgot how much it hurt when you do come to the realization that its over!! I guess I just have been caught up with other things that I didnt realize we were headed down this path. I just want to raise my kids with love and compassion....and them have both parents. If that means we have to do it from seperate homes....then I guess that is the way it must be. I am scared though...not of being on my own...but because I am so far away from my family. I have to rely on him and his family to help with the kids, if anything happens to me...and I don't like that feeling. I have lots of friends who are great...but I can't put them out....3 kids is alot!! I still love him....LOVE was never the issue...it was that we are from two completely different up-bringings....and it has caused lots of resentment.

So now what? Well I think its time to go back to school. I think I am going to take this time to finish getting my RN degree. Right now I don't want to date or even think about meeting someone. I am lonely.....but I just want to take time to reflect and walk with the Lord and see which road he has paved for me. I am going to pick up extra shifts when I don't have the kids so I won't be home all the time...so that will help some. And then with school...I will really be busy with studying and earning that RN degree. I am looking forward to this next chapter in my life. I truely believe all things happen for a reason. Our lives are written before we are ever born. So for me this is another chapter closing in my life. A new one is waiting to open! :) I am ready to walk with the Lord and embrace what he has in store for me!

Coby lost his first tooth

Coby has been waiting forever on a tooth to fall out so he could get some money from the 'tooth fairy'. Well with a little assistance from mom....he lost both of his bottom front teeth last night. They were so loose...he couldn't eat...so it had to be done. He looked in the mirror and said 'they look gross now...I don't like it'.....I said 'well son...I can't put them back!' When I said its time for bed...he ran... grabbed his teeth and was asleep in 5 mins. No, 'mom, can I sleep with you?' Or gettin' out of bed a million times!.....oh I wish he could put teeth under his pillow every night....LOL

Happy 9th Birthday Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn had a flower power party on Saturday at the bowling alley...and then a slumber party with her BFF's afterward!! The kids first bowled for and hour...then it was pizza and cupcakes....and presents!!

The plates and napkins...I got at the dollar tree...and used them for my decorating inspiration...I cut out the flowers by hand and decorated them to match the ones of the plates....and used them as confetti on the table. The butterflies were in some craft supplies that Dad bought me a few years back....I had to dig them out of the "donate" box to use them....but they coordinated so well. The tooth pick holders I made using my Quickutz scrapbooking tool and dies to make the shapes and added stickles to make them shine!

Kaitlyn rec'vd many great 'girly' gifts...she was so excited...see her posing for 'every' picture....LOL

Isabelle and Jenna got to come stay the night with Kaitlyn.Kaitlyn gave each girl a 'slumber party survival kit'...with nail polish and gems, a notepad and pen, and hairbows....to play with later on!

The girls played a little bit..then we had a snack....veggie and dip....with fruit. Then we went outside for some water fun. It was water balloons, water bazookas, water guns...and the water snake sprinkler for fun!!

My goal was a bonfire to roast hot dogs...but no wood...and too tired to even WANT to chop wood and it still being like 100 degrees outside at dark...I "grilled" them on my george foreman...and we ate!!

Now it was dress-up time....nicknames are Katie=Kaitlyn, Izzy=Isabelle, Jenny=Jenna....and then the BAND......each has a part.....

I put up the tent in the livingroom...facing the TV (of course) and got them to sit and watch a movie.

...and then at 11:30...they decided they wanted to paint their nails.........YES...at 11:30pm!!! :)

Then back to the tent to watch yet another movie....and play on the Nintendo DS's.Once I heard it quiet...I went back into the living room at almost 1am....and all but 1 was alseep...so it was lights out....and at 7:45am...they were at it again!! :)

End of Year Girl Scout Camping Trip

We spent the weekend camping at the GS camp....Camp Whispering Pines at the end of May. It was a family camping trip with our GS troop. Kaitlyn and Isabelle will be Juniors next year!! There were many activities planned....there were crafts, swimming, hiking, rock wall climbing and the bonfire on Sat night. We were all exhausted when it was time for bed....that we didnt even noticed we were being eaten alive by mosquitos. We sprayed before we went to bed...but I took off my socks...so my feet were horrible...Kase got hot..and took off his shirt...and rec'vd several...everyone else faired pretty good. Let's just say....there are some FAT mosquitos at that camp!!

Chelsea and Isabelle on the rock wall.....

kaitlyn on the wall...complaining the whole time to get her down...but wanting to go again and again.....LOL

Katilyn with Isabelle (on left) and Lakin (right) at their cookie booth sale in Loranger....the girls as a whole troop sold enough cookies to earn the 'SUPER TROOP' award in cookies sales!! I am so proud of Kaitlyn's hard work this year in girl scouts!!

I took this at our last camping weekend with the cub scouts....these are too brothers too...Ethan and Nathan. Ethan is Coby's age...and nathan is only 4. The boys enjoyed catching fish!! It was the highlight of the day!!

Coby bridged up to be a wolf.....Tigers are considered 'beginners' in cub scouts....

Kase Turns 8

Kase had a great birthday....lots of presents and sugar....what every kid dreams of....LOL

He started his day with cupcakes for breakfast.....

then I brought cupcakes for his class....

then on Saturday we had his birthday party at the Children's Discovery Center. His theme was fishing. I had his cake made at a small supermarket here in Loranger.....I was really happy with the results.

I had blue table cloths as the water....and gold fish were 'swimming' around in 'gold fish' bowls on the tables...(the kids loved this)....they wouldn't stop eating them so we could cut the cake.

The kids (and adults) enjoyed 'buckets of bait' with their cake.....AKA...chocolate ice cream with oreos and gummy worms! At last we couldnt forget the 'life savers' in the water...just in case someone ate too much and needed to be rescued...LOL!

Once the cake was cut and presents were opened....

......each party guest took home a goodie bag full of wonderful suprises as a thank you for 'fishing around' with Kase on his special day!!!

Once the party ended...the kids went back to playing.....
