Boy Scout Blue and Gold Banquet

Well the boys finished up this year of scouting on Saturday. Coby received his Tiger cub badge...and Kase got his Wolf badge. They now will work on electives and attend camp till Aug/Sept..and then they will begin there new cub scout journey. The B&G was nice...they each baked a cake and decorated it....and then there was an auction for the cakes at the end of the banquet. We ended up with 2 cakes....LOL The boys received lots of patches to add to their duffle bags for camping. It's been crazy at times...but what a great year we have had exploring new ideas and going on adventures with each other!! I can't wait till next year!!!

Has it really been a year?

Well here we are....its March again. Yesterday...March 25th made one year since I got the news that would FOREVER change my life!! I still can't believe its been a year....I still can't believe he is gone. I can still remember feeling like my world was ending...and though I still hurt....somehow I have made it a whole year without him. I still miss him like crazy........and often think of what he would say....or tell me to do....but yesterday gave me a calmness. A sense of happiness... It was as though I finally got it...I finally realize that as a parent....our never ending goal is to teach our kids morals, values, and lessons that will carrying them through life even after we are no longer there to guide them. I get it!! I made it a whole year....it was a rough year....but I made it. I know I will never forget him....or wish he wasnt still here....but it does give me solitude to know that part of him IS with me....and through that....I WILL BE OK!!!

just a little note....

All is well here...just working and running the kids everywhere. The kids are finishing up with scouts...so things have been crazy. The boys will officially finish their year next weekend...when they get all their awards....so hopefully I can concentrate more on Kailtyn with GS...because she will bridge to the next troop at the end of May...so we only have a few months to get stuff done!!

Chelsea is officially a LICENSED driver.....YEAHHHHH!! I am so happy for her. She is getting more relaxed behind the wheel. I havent let her take the car out by herself yet...because she isnt too used to the roads over here yet! But...I am sure that will be in due time!!

The kids are wrapping up school...they are working on May Fest again. So pretty soon...it will be summer...and lots of outdoor camping and swimming!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

It's hard to believe dad has been gone for almost a year!! I still miss him like it was yesterday. I still can't believe he is gone! I just keep on thinking about what he would want for me...and the kids...and I just keep moving on....thats all I know to do!! Thats what HE would want me to do!!
